Another week

Just another week and we will leave this house for good. The new owners will have the key on june 30th. The next week we'll stay in the Netherlands because I want the children to stay until their last school day. Definite day of departure to France is probably July 6.

For me there is little reason for joy as long as I don't have much more to look for than a ragged apartment in Espalion crammed with boxes and our saying goodbye to our irreplaceable neighbors Mariëlle and Richard (Richard I), Monica and Richard (Richard II) and Mary and Richard (Richard III). My heart breaks when another kid stops by to tell he or she will miss Halldor or Deirdre. And what I find worst off all is the grieve of the children, because childhood friendships run deep, and kids got more together than with their parents. Too bad for us, but I am sure of it. But what can I do, we have to go, there is no stopping it now. I can only hope the children can now and then stay with each other till the are grown enough to move into the wide world themselves.
